Term 4 end of year reflection

Thank you everyone for reading all my posts and commenting on them. Next year I'm moving up to Totara (syndicate 4) and I'm in Miss power's class rm18 . I'm going to miss Mamaku.

W8 literacy Reflection

This week I chose to write why I should be on Santa's naughty list. We had to write five paragraphs why I should be on the naughty list.

Here are five reasons why I should be on Santa's naughty list.  

The first reason why I should be on the naughty list is because I like coal and I would like my stocking to be full of coal.  The coal is good for the fire in winter when its cold.

The second reason why I should be on the naughty list is because I eat all the baking mum makes when she's not looking.  Like cake biscuits slice etc.

The third reason is because I never clean my bedroom when I’m told to and I just make more of a mess. I blame the dog for the mess and say she was trying to eat the stuff.

The fourth reason is because I never do the dishes and Dad ends up doing them. I always say that I’m too tired and end up watching the TV.

The fifth reason why I should be on the  Naughty list is because I don't clean the bench after using it. I just say the bench was dirty but for some reason nobody believes me.

please Santa put me on the naughty list i would love some coal.

T4 W6 Writing reflection

This week for writing we wrote a recount about the earthquake . W.A.L.T Use punctuation properly

Last night there was an earthquake and I slept right through it. This morning I woke up later than usel and wondered why Mum had the news on I asked

,what has happened, the TV replied with , dangerous earthquake has struck the whole country and kaikoura is blocked off by massive slip, I was shocked then mum said

,did you feel it, I answered with , no I slept right through it , .Mum said , How did you sleep through that ,

, I don’t know , I replied. Mathum said that the dog was sleeping in there room because she was scared of the earthquake. When I got to school everyone was talking about the earthquake. Most of the people at school woke up during the earthquake. After break we had a earthquake Drill and had to line up in our classes and have our names called out to see if we were there. After lunch we went to the library and there was an aftershock so we had to evacuate the building and go out to the field.

T4 W4 Numeracy Reflection

This week for Numeracy we had a google slide full of math questions for our level. We had to write the answer and then make a link to that slide and put the link in to T4 Numeracy hand in sheet so the teachers could use them for our report.

T4 W4 literacy Reflection

     This week for reading we had to write three short paragraphs . There were three different types of writing the first one is to entertain second to inform and third to persuade . The paragraphs were based on you being an explorer and you were going to explore a jungle that no one else has explored.

This week for writing we started our myths and legends writing . I did task four which is draw a magical creature you made up and give it a name and label every thing on it.

This week for word work I did rainbow writing. Rainbow writing is when you write down all your spelling words and and make them look like a rainbow.

Term 4 Week 1 Athletics

On Wednesday we did athletics and Barrytown school came which is my old school . During the day I hung out with my old friend's Toby and Harry. The events we did were discus, fun relays,sprints ,High jump and long jump. Next Time I'm going to try and get better at the events.

Term 4 week 3 Numeracy Reflection

This week for numeracy we had to finish off our position and orientation slide. Once we finished the slide we were aloud to play games on the two Gerymain school math hubs. Next time I'm going to try and do some harder math games .

Term 4 Week 3 Reading Reflection

        This week for reading we were looking at types of writing. We had to find four pieces of writing and put them in a google doc. Next time I'm going to try and find some more interesting articles.

This week we also had to write down what kinds of  writing it was from a google drawing. There were three pieces of writing to write an answer to.

This week for writing we did two mummy summaries one about embalming and wrapping and the other one was about object's they use and the object's they put in the tomb. I wrote the Embalming and Kaleb W wrote the wrapping.

Term 3 week 7 Reflection

                               Writing

This week for writing we were finishing off our household machine writing. My writing is on how a clock works.We had to write it with out google.

A clock is an object that comes in different shapes and sizes the most common clocks is the digital clock and the dialog clock. This explanation is on a dialog clock which has three hands and a clear sheet of plastic to protect the hands .

There are three different hands on a clock which are the second,minute and hour

The hand’s on a clock are made of thin pieces of metal that have holes at the end of them that go around a piece of metal that spins ever so slowly.

Inside a clock you will find cogs that will spin. The cogs will make the hands spin and the hands will point to the numbers on the clock.

This week for reading we did an explanation burger and did it on a book called a wife for Te Ra. A wife for Te Ra is a Maori legend. Next time I'm going to do some more writing.
