Book week 2016

Golden tickets

This week one of the teachers have been hiding golden tickets all around the school for us to find. There have been golden tickets hidden each day. The prize is a hole bunch of books.I didn't I find a golden ticket .  

Wacky Thursday

On Thursday we had wacky Thursday instead of wacky Wednesday. Lots of people looked really cool and wacky. 
We also had the Olympics. The events I did were weight lifting,Relays,Volleyball and soccer. I won a silver medal.

Book Character Day

Friday was book character day and I dressed up as Asterix the gaul.
Asterix is my favorite book and it's a Graphic novel . I won a book for my costume the book I chose that I won was a Geronimo Stilton the name of the book is The hunt for the secret papyrus.Last year I dressed up as Harry Potter.

This week for numeracy we have been learning about fractions and and parts of fractions. Next week I am going to try and get more work done.

                                           West a math

This week on Wednesday we went to westport for west a math.two of the greymain teams got awards.
One of the greymain year seven teams came second and the one of the greymain year eight teams came third.

                             Numeracy
This week we were learning how decimals are the same fractions .
They are the same as each other because the line is the same as a decimal point.Me Franklin and William were having races with
decimal questions Franklin won. 

Olympics

This week we have been making NZ athlete profiles and country profiles. I did my athlete profiles on Dylan Kennet and 

Ryan Taylor and my country profile was on Afghanistan. Afghanistan  only has three athletes. For the athlete profile We had to find out there birth date height weight and how many medals they have won.
