Noho marae

Last week on Wednesday we stayed at Mahitahi Marae (Bruce bay marae) also known as Te Tauraka Waka a Maui.
We got told about the stories on the tukutuku panels and the stories about the carvings.
On the way there we stopped in Hari hari and Fox Glacier school.
While we were at the marae there was a power cut but luckily Caleb, the person who looked after the marae, had a generator setup.

Descriptive writing

As I walk towards the carnival I feel damp grass under foot. when I got closer I could hear people talking and laughing. I could smell the rich aroma of the food as I walked past the crowd. As I got to some of the games I could hear children nagging there parents to have a go.when I got to the ferris wheel I hop on and end up at the top. The ice cold wind rushes past me and makes me feel as if I am froze
